Agility pony :o)

What a wonderful day we’ve had! Tiber came to our yard to do a couple of ‘introduction to horse agility’ sessions. It was really good fun! :db: I used Cleo, my friend Rosie’s pony, which was pretty challenging. Doing work that revolves around trust and confidence with a pony I’ve never really worked with in hand was quite challenging. She started out very tense and we found putting our feet on things very difficult but we worked through it and we got through all the obstacles in the end :yahoo:

I would very much like to do some more agility work with Dino though. I think in a less pressured environment he would enjoy it! Overall I think everyone had a really good time! The others all seemed to enjoy it and it was awesome to see Tiber again! It was really good to see how easy it is to get some equipment together and do fun things.

Day 192

Action pony!

I got the video from Saturday up on YouTube. Not very happy with my riding, the canter in particular is terrible but there IS canter and ISN’T bucking so we’ll take that:

The fun continued last night with our first clear round! TINY fences but I think he enjoyed himself:

Rosettes all round

It’s been a rosette all round day for us! M & I took Dino and Boysie to some dressage at my favourite small venue (now that Patchett’s has gone) – Warehill EC near Dunstable. M took Dino in the intro and Boysie in Warehills own walk/trot/canter test and I took Dino in prelim 7. M got 3rd in both classes which really good and then we only came 2nd in the prelim! 😮 I had a hunch she’d get placed in the intro, he’s been pretty consistent there and thought Boysie had a good chance in the Warehill test but given that two weeks ago Dino nearly bucked me off at a clinic in a prelim I wasn’t really expecting anything. He got 61.59% for the prelim which I’m really chuffed about. It was not the most elegant and the comment for the canter was ‘laboured’ but he did it and we got a ribbon too!!

Here’s both boys after the test:

And here is a completely different picture from the other day which I am very pleased with:
Day 181

Bought him a new bridle from Lou’s Horse Kind range and took some photos to send her. He’s sooooo pretty
